DOES BOREHOLE WATER NEED TO BE FILTERED?

A borehole is an excellent investment!  It gives so many incredible benefits. The best part is that it provides water that can be used for both indoor and outdoor use.  Ultimately this just saves you so much money on your water bill.  When it comes to using your borehole water the question may have crossed your mind, “does borehole water need to be filtered?”

As a general rule of thumb, borehole water will need to be filtered.  However, the type of filtration required depends very much on what the water will be used for.  It will also need to be filtered and treated according to your water analysis results.  Always remember that if you are planning to drink your borehole water then it must be tested and filtered and treated so that it’s safe for consumption.

If your water is only used to run your irrigation system, then a basic sediment filter can be used to trap sand particles.  If you are planning to use your water to fill your pool or be used indoors then it will need to be tested first and treated accordingly.  Your water analysis determines the type of filtration required.
